# Overview
The Virtual Contact On-Premises edition allows organisations to deploy and manage the platform on their own infrastructure. This option provides maximum control over data, security and system configuration, and is suited to organisations with specific compliance or data sovereignty requirements.
On-Premises deployment requires technical expertise and server infrastructure that meets the system requirements documented in this section.
