# WhatsApp Business API Setup

To activate WhatsApp Business API on Virtual Contact: go to Settings > Channels > WhatsApp Business API, click 'Start configuration', connect your Meta Business Manager account, verify a dedicated phone number and wait for Meta approval (typically 24-72 hours).

**Requirements:** Virtual Contact Starter plan or above, verified Meta Business Manager, dedicated phone number not already used on WhatsApp, active company website.

> Technical activation is supported by the Virtual Contact team during onboarding.
